Architetture d’Acqua
Il progetto fotografico indaga il territorio mantovano, apparentemente semplice nella sua orizzontalità, ma in realtà estremamente complesso per geologia, idrografia e storia.
A nord definito dalle colline moreniche di origine glaciale e a sud dai sedimenti alluvionali, questo territorio è attraversato dal Po e dai suoi affluenti Oglio e Mincio, che discendono dai grandi laghi alpini, e dal Secchia, che proviene dall’Appennino. Nei secoli, la regimentazione di questi corsi d’acqua ha disegnato una complessa configurazione geometrica del paesaggio e generato un ricco patrimonio architettonico e ingegneristico.
Lo sguardo fotografico si concentra sui dispositivi idraulici e sulle loro relazioni con il territorio, costruendo una narrazione in cui infrastrutture, margini e vuoti rivelano la natura profondamente progettata di questo paesaggio.

Water Architecture
The photographic project explores the Mantuan territory, which appears simple in its horizontality but is in fact extremely complex in terms of geology, hydrography and history.
To the north it is defined by moraine hills of glacial origin and to the south by alluvial sediments; this territory is crossed by the Po River and its tributaries, the Oglio and the Mincio, descending from the great Alpine lakes, and by the Secchia, originating in the Apennines. Over the centuries, the regulation of these watercourses has drawn a complex geometric configuration of the landscape and generated a rich architectural and engineering heritage.
The photographic gaze focuses on hydraulic devices and their relationship with the territory, constructing a narrative in which infrastructures, edges and voids reveal the deeply designed nature of this landscape.
